I am a potter from Latvia. After graduating from Falmouth University in Cornwall, I have returned to my childhood home in Rundāle and set up a studio here in 2013. I make wheel-thrown porcelain and wood-fired clay tableware, and porcelain&silver jewelry. I believe that by cultivating attitude of care towards objects will reflect in our relationships and, on a larger scale, our worldview. My aim is to make tableware that brings a little quiet beauty into your everyday life. I am passionate about ‘pleasure in use’ and the tactile qualities of ceramics. My latest collections are featuring such special-effect glazes like satin gold, crater and various microcrystalline glazes. In my more traditional reduction wood-fired earthenware collection I use sgraffito technique for intricate decoration. I love what I do and I hope it shows in my work. they are all created with great care and consideration. Beskrivning

Stunning textured functional flower pots.

Each one is very unique.

Handmade on the pottery wheel. High-fired to 1260 C, making the pieces non-porous, strong and durable for regular use. Glazed with a white glaze on the inside and a stunning textured pale bluish-white lava glaze on the outside. A real pleasure to the touch :)

Care information:

o Can be cleaned in the dishwasher

o Not tested in a microwave,

o Lead and cadmium free

 

o Small imperfections are welcomed addition to my work. The glaze is applied by hands so small spots, drips etc may be present, please enjoy the handmade quality! Also, some colour variations may appear because some magic always happens in the kiln! If you are a perfectionist please get in touch before and we will send you the most perfect pot we have!

o Standard delivery takes a minimum of 1 week in Europe and a minimum of 2 weeks delivery in the rest of the world.

o All items are double boxed and come together with a little card/leaflet in either English/German/Russian/Japanese/Latvian and tell a little bit about the hands and hearts behind these pots.
